We will endeavour to ensure all children and young people are protected from harm while they visit or attend classes at BANG Drum School by…
● Making sure all staff are carefully selected and have an Enhanced Criminal Records check / DBS disclosure
● Sharing information about child protection and good practice with children, parents, and teaching staff
● Ensuring first aid training is kept up to date for Sam and Danny (the appointed first aiders) and all accidents are recorded in
our online accident log sheet as soon as practically possible
● Recognising that all children, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, sexual orientation or identity, or religious belief have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse
All staff at BANG Drum School have the following responsibilities…
● To value, listen to and show respect to all children and young people
● To follow all child protection procedures
● To report any incident or suspicion of abuse to the NSPCC immediately
● To take appropriate action if an accident occurs – immediately seek assistance from appointed first aider
● To familiarise themselves with building/facility safety issues such as fire procedures
